Earlier I let you know about a new fabric collection coming from Cotton and Steel, which is a new division of RJR. It was THE talk of the town at the spring quilt market.
The collection was huge so I selected what I thought was a set that would play together nicely. I was taken with the more whimsical pieces like the cats and lions below.
If you are wanting to get your hands on more from the collection we have fat quarter bundles of all of the pieces from each of the 5 designers. Come see for yourself...
Another new to the shop item is - toweling. I think this will be a lot of fun. It is 16" wide and comes on rolls with the sides already hemmed. I can see triced out with fabric embellishments, trims and embroidery on them. We will have a class with some quick to complete ideas this fall for making holiday gifts from them. We will be getting quite a bit more in August but to start...
New to the store are thest cute prints
Sometimes I find the greatest surprises on the camera at the shop. Apparently, I missed Carol when she brought her "star" quilt in to show.
We have to take a closer look, the quilting is very impressive. Even more so when you know that Carol is fairly new to this whole thing. It wasn't that long ago that she took the beginning class and made her first quilt. She has embraced it and fearlessly decided to conquer free motion quilting on her home machine. I'd say she did!
Wow! And take a look at this dramatic quilt made by Bud. It is called Night Sky and it seems to glow.
It is hard to believe it is August already, isn't it? Time to get started on my summer to-do list. Haha!
